Soms zijn boeken zo geweldig en zo voorspelbaar tegelijkertijd, maar kan je niet anders dan ervan genieten. Dat is North Queen, een boek dat zeer vermakelijk is.

Dit boek is gefocust op romantiek, heeft een amnesia trope, en een personage dat zichzelf moet vinden. Maakt ze soms domme keuzes? Natuurlijk. Is er een liefdesdriehoek? … Wellicht. Is er duidelijk inspiratie gehaald uit Game of Thrones? Ja, dat ook. Maar het was allemaal zo heerlijk vermakelijk om te lezen.
Het is niet het beste boek wat ik ooit heb gelezen, maar het is een boek dat ik niet kon neerleggen. Het is misschien wat voorspelbaar, maar dat maakt niet uit. De personages zijn best interessant om over te lezen, al maken ze domme beslissingen, en de gebeurtenissen tussen de verschillende koninkrijken is ook ingewikkelder dan je in het begin denkt.
Ons hoofdpersonage houdt trouwens ook van eten en grijpt naar druiven wanneer het even te heet onder haar voeten wordt. En als jullie toevallig reviews kijken van withcindy op Youtube, dan is dit het perfecte boek voor haar om te reviewen.
